The Big Ideas Mobile Learning Lab visited Tupelo High School this week, giving sophomores a chance to explore 30 careers and try activities involving welding, drones and industrial coating.

Downtown Tupelo hosted its 2026 Ale Trail on Friday. Organizers thanked sponsors, participating businesses and attendees.

The University of Mississippi’s Tupelo campus will waive its $50 application fee from Nov. 9-16. Admissions counselors will help prospective students at two Itawamba Community College campuses.

Officer Dean and Lieutenant Ware visited Life Changing Ministry Daycare to talk with children about police work and community safety.

Barbara A. Wardlow, 46, was arrested after an investigation into an Oct. 20 incident at a Tupelo Dollar Tree. She faces charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault.

Officers Chris Styles, Brandon Walls and Dylan Campbell completed 12 weeks of training at the North Mississippi Law Enforcement Training Academy. They are beginning their careers with the Tupelo Police Department.

An event runs from 7 to 11 p.m. tonight and costs $18 per person. Organizers describe it as a Halloween celebration.
