Tupelo to close part of West Jefferson Street for hazardous tree removal

The city of Tupelo’s Public Works department will close a section of West Jefferson Street on Tuesday, March 31, starting at 7 a.m., according to city officials.

The closure is necessary to remove a dead, hazardous tree from the right of way. Crews plan to remove the tree and reopen the street to traffic once the work is complete.
