The city of Tupelo’s Public Works department will close a section of West Jefferson Street on Tuesday, March 31, starting at 7 a.m., according to city officials.
The closure is necessary to remove a dead, hazardous tree from the right of way. Crews plan to remove the tree and reopen the street to traffic once the work is complete.
Officials advised drivers to refer to attached maps for the work location and detour routes. No additional details about the duration of the closure were provided.
