Two Tupelo students achieved notable milestones, with one accepted to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and another earning a scholarship to Mississippi State University.

Lawhon Elementary received a PREPS Achievement Award for outperforming the state average in third-grade math scores.

Pierce St. Elementary received a PREPS Achievement Award for its 4th-grade math scores, which doubled the state’s average increase, according to the school district.

Pierce St. Elementary received the PREPS Top 10% Growth Award for English language arts, ranking among Mississippi’s top schools for growth.
