Ashley Glass returns to stage in ‘The Miss Firecracker Contest’ at Lyric Theatre
Ashley Glass is returning to the stage to star as Carnelle Scott in Beth Henley’s “The Miss Firecracker Contest,” performed by TCT at the Lyric Theatre. This marks her second appearance with the company, following her role as a waitress in “Almost, Maine.”
Glass, who has a background in pageantry, expressed her excitement about taking on a new character. “I love bringing this fiery and unforgettable character to life,” she said. She added that she is eager for audiences to experience the show, which she describes as funny and heartfelt.
She credited directors and supporters for their trust and encouragement. “I want to thank Bobby Geno and Laura Orsborn for trusting me with this role, and my friends and family for their ongoing support,” she stated.
The production is directed by Bobby Geno and sponsored by Meredith Martin of TM Realtors. Performances are scheduled for March 19-21 at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with a matinee at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The shows will take place at the Lyric Theatre located at 201 N. Broadway. The event is promoted by Matt Wyatt Media.
