Setting thermostats to 68 degrees during the day and 58 degrees when away can help save energy and money.
Additional safety tips include reducing shower and bath times, keeping warm air inside by closing fireplace dampers, and removing snow and ice from meters with a broom or brush. Customers should also ensure vents for dryers and other equipment are clear to prevent dangerous carbon monoxide buildup.
