Cast of ‘The Miss Firecracker Contest’ Includes Liz Autry as Elain Williams Rutledge

Liz Autry joins the cast of Beth Henley’s ‘The Miss Firecracker Contest,’ portraying Elain Williams Rutledge. Autry has previously appeared in productions such as ‘Women Playing Hamlet,’ ‘Looking,’ and ‘Almost, Maine,’ showcasing her versatility.

According to sources, her character Elain is perhaps closest to Autry’s personal personality. She is described as a proud mother of two, a devoted wife, and someone who enjoys shopping and the finer things in life, including her dachshunds.

Autry expressed gratitude for the opportunity to perform the role, praising director Bobby Geno and the production team. She said she is excited to bring the character to life and appreciates the support from her theater family.

‘The Miss Firecracker Contest’ runs from March 19 to 21 at the Lyric Theatre, located at 201 N. Broadway. Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, with a matinee at 2 p.m. on Saturday, according to producers.
