David Neilsen, Retired Naval Officer, to Announce in ‘The Star Spangled Girl’

David Neilsen, a retired Naval officer and former ICC teacher, will be the announcer for the upcoming production of Neil Simon’s “The Star Spangled Girl” at TCT Off Broadway.

Neilsen began his theater career at TCT in 2008, playing Matthew in “Anne of Green Gables.” Since then, he has participated in several productions, including most recently as Mr. Gower in “It’s a Wonderful Life.”

In addition to acting, Neilsen enjoys working backstage and constructing sets. He is a member of Toastmasters, Civitan, and the American Legion. He and his wife, Carolyn, have three children, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

“The Star Spangled Girl,” written by Neil Simon and directed by Debby Gibbs, runs March 5-7 at 7 p.m. each night at TCT Off Broadway, located at 213 East Franklin. For tickets and more information, visit www.tctlyric.com.
