Downtown Tupelo Volunteers Pack Food for March of the Mayors Event

For the second year in a row, volunteers from Downtown Tupelo teamed up with the City of Tupelo to pack food boxes for the March of the Mayors event, according to organizers.

The event involves collecting food items from communities across North Mississippi, which are then packed at the event and stay within the state to help feed local residents.

This year’s event featured a Mardi Gras theme and was supported by sponsor Atmos Energy. Participants included community members and city officials working together in a morning of service and community spirit.

Organizers also thanked Carah and Bill Prater, the event’s grand marshals, for their support. The event aims to combat hunger and promote community engagement in Tupelo.
