East Jackson Street from North Madison Street to Highland Circle will be closed to through traffic beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, according to Tupelo Water and Light.
The city utility is repairing a water leak in the area. The road will reopen once work is complete.
Detour signs will be in place to direct drivers around the closure, and motorists are advised to plan alternate routes during the repair period.
