Kyrus Scott Excited to Perform in ‘The Miss Firecracker Contest’ at Tupelo Community Theatre
Kyrus Scott is set to play Delmount in Beth Henley’s ‘The Miss Firecracker Contest’ at Tupelo Community Theatre, marking his largest role to date. Scott expressed excitement about performing back-to-back plays for the community theater.
Scott describes Delmount as a contentious brute with a caring side hidden beneath his tough exterior. He hopes audiences enjoy the production as much as he and his castmates enjoyed making it. Scott previously appeared as Lendall in ‘Almost, Maine’ at TCT and recently participated in the Oxford Ten Minute Play Festival as Jim.
The show will be directed by Bobby Geno and sponsored by Meredith Martin and TM Realtors. Performances are scheduled for March 19-21 at the Lyric Theatre, located at 201 N. Broadway. Showtimes are 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, with a matinee at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
