Friday is the last day to donate peanut butter for the March of the Mayors food drive, according to organizers. Donors can drop off 16-ounce jars at five locations: Tupelo City Hall, Tupelo Police Department, Fire Station No. 1, Tupelo Water and Light Collections Office, and the Parks and Recreation Main Office at Ballard Park.
Organizers also invite volunteers to join a box-packing event Tuesday at the Tupelo Furniture Market. The event is part of a weeklong effort across five regions to pack meals for Mississippi families, officials said.
March of the Mayors Food Box Packing Week is set for next week, with activities planned at multiple locations. Organizers encourage community members to participate and provide details and volunteer registration at extratable.org/march.
