Meet the Crew of ‘Almost, Maine’: Charles Truscott, Scenic Artist and Master Carpenter

Charles Truscott, a master carpenter and scenic artist, is part of the crew for the upcoming production of ‘Almost, Maine.’ Truscott’s primary medium is sculpture, and he discovered his passion for theater during college, where he explored set building and stage design.

He has worked on numerous Off-Broadway shows and has even created props for a Broadway production. Truscott is currently preparing for a solo sculpture exhibition titled “The Secret World of the Xaohasti,” set to open at the Gumtree Museum of Art in Tupelo this June.

‘Almost, Maine,’ a romantic comedy by John Cariani, is directed by Allana Austin and sponsored by the Puckett Family. The play runs from Jan. 29 to 31, 2026, with performances Thursday through Saturday at 7 p.m. and a matinee Saturday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for students and children.
