Mooreville native Amanda Hussey Fowler returns to stage in musical after 30 years
Mooreville native Amanda Hussey Fowler has returned to the stage after a 30-year hiatus. A lifelong vocalist and songleader, she now works as a 26-year educator.
Fowler recently starred as Marlafaye Mosely in Theatre Oxford’s production of Savannah Sippin’ Society. It was her first musical performance since high school, according to a release from the theater company.
She and her husband, Lee, have been married for 25 years and have two daughters, Aurora and Rianna. The family resides in Mooreville.
Fowler’s return to the stage coincides with the upcoming production of Mel Brooks’ musical Young Frankenstein, scheduled for August 20-22 at Tupelo Community Theatre. The show is directed by Christi Houin.
