The 27th annual Tupelo Chili Festival will take place this Friday at Fairpark in downtown Tupelo, according to event organizers. The festival begins with chili tastings at 5:30 p.m., where attendees can purchase $10 tasting tickets to sample various chilis and vote for their favorite.
Live music will start at 6:30 p.m. with Reed Brake performing as part of the Fall Into Tupelo 2026 event. Organizers encourage attendees to participate in the vote for the People’s Choice award, which will determine the winning chili team.
Festival organizers promoted the event on social media, asking the community which team they believe will win this year’s competition. The event aims to celebrate local cuisine and community spirit in downtown Tupelo.
