Tupelo Community Theatre Announces Auditions for ‘Seussical JR.’
Tupelo Community Theatre has announced auditions for its summer youth production of Seussical JR.. The musical, set in the world of Dr. Seuss, features characters such as Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, JoJo, Gertrude McFuzz, and Mayzie La Bird.
Auditions are scheduled for Saturday, April 18, at 11 a.m., and Sunday, April 19, at 2 p.m. They will be held at the TCT Off Broadway location, 213 E. Franklin Street. No advance preparation is required, and auditioning participants will complete script readings and individual singing.
The production is open to students from rising fourth grade through graduating seniors. Officials said full attendance during the rehearsal and performance weeks is mandatory, with no absences allowed during that time.
