The Tupelo Police Department has expressed gratitude to Tupelo Water & Light, Tupelo Public Works, Tupelo Park and Recreation, and Tombigbee Electric Power Association for their efforts during a recent ice storm.
Crews from these agencies worked extended hours under hazardous conditions to maintain essential services and restore normalcy to the community, according to the department.
The police department has now returned to regular operations and is responding to routine calls for service. Officials thanked the community for their patience and cooperation during the weather event.
