Tupelo Water and Light will close the intersection of North Madison Street and East Jackson Street beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, the utility announced.
The closure is to facilitate repairs on a water leak. North Madison Street will be closed to through traffic from East Jackson Street to Highland Circle.
The road will reopen once the work is completed. Detour signs will be in place to guide drivers around the construction zone. For more information, residents are encouraged to send a message to the utility.
