Amory Police Make Arrest in Drive-By Shooting Case, Search Continues for Second Suspect

On August 28, 2025, at approximately 1:54 p.m., the Amory Police Department responded to reports of shots fired at a vehicle on Wren Street. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered that both a vehicle and a nearby residence had been struck by gunfire. No injuries were reported.

Following an investigation that included witness statements and video evidence, police identified the suspected shooter as Tua Shakur Hudson of Beldon. With the assistance of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, Hudson was arrested on September 8 and charged with Drive-By Shooting. He is currently being held at the Monroe County Detention Facility on a $50,000 bond.

Authorities have also identified a second suspect, Jasmine Monae Brown of Amory, as the driver of the vehicle involved in the shooting. She remains at large.
