Cast of ‘Almost, Maine’ Spotlight: Mariah B. Wooten
Mariah B. Wooten, an actor, writer, and gallery wall enthusiast from Corinth, Mississippi, is part of the cast of ‘Almost, Maine.’ Wooten holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, as of 2022.
She has experience writing and assistant directing for Theatre Memphis’ competition show, ‘Lookin’.’ Her on-stage credits include roles such as Elinor Dashwood in ‘Sense & Sensibility,’ Gwen/Gravedigger in ‘Women Playing Hamlet,’ and Titania in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream.’
Beyond theater, Wooten performs folk music under the name Belle Kelty, enjoys reading, and has a playful habit of teaching her nephew curse words. She also claims to have eight Tony Awards, though details are unspecified.
‘Almost, Maine,’ a romantic comedy by John Cariani, is directed by Allana Austin and sponsored by the Puckett Family.
