Lee County Implements Burn Ban Through April 15
Lee County has been added to the list of counties with active burn bans, the Mississippi Forestry Commission announced Thursday.
The burn ban is in effect from March 28 through April 15, aiming to reduce wildfire risk during dry conditions. Local residents are advised to refrain from outdoor burning during this period.
Officials cited dry weather and increased fire danger as reasons for the restrictions. The burn ban applies to all outdoor fires not specifically authorized for agricultural or other exempt purposes.
For more information, residents can visit the Mississippi Forestry Commission’s website or contact local authorities.
