Lee County Partners with Goodyear for Free Tire Recycling Day

Lee County is teaming up with Goodyear for a free tire recycling day in honor of America Recycles Day. The event offers residents, farmers, municipalities, and townships an opportunity to dispose of unwanted tires at no cost.

The event is open to all Lee County residents. Only passenger vehicle tires with a maximum outside diameter of 35 inches will be accepted. All tires must be removed from rims, and commercial businesses are not eligible to participate.

Volunteers are needed to help with collection and loading tires on the day of the event. Organizers invite community groups and individuals to assist with pre-event collection and day-of tasks. Participants are encouraged to come prepared for physical activity and to help clear tires from their yards and neighborhoods.
