Man arrested in connection with burglary at Romie’s on West Jackson Street

Authorities arrested Jimmy W. Thrasher, 59, of Verona, in connection with a burglary at Romie’s, a business located at 804 West Jackson Street, on March 13, according to police reports.

Officers responded to the scene on Feb. 11 after business personnel reported that several items had been stolen from a storage unit. An investigation led to Thrasher’s arrest, authorities said.

Thrasher was charged with one count of burglary of a commercial building. Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir ordered him held without bond on the same day. The charges are scheduled to be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury, officials said.
