Nashville native Mary Anderson to star in ‘Almost, Maine’ at TCT
Mary Anderson, a Nashville native with more than five years of performing arts experience, is set to star as Glory in TCT’s upcoming production of “Almost, Maine.” Anderson moved to Tupelo in 2018 and has since appeared in numerous stage roles, including Alice in “Alice in Wonderland” and Mulan in “Mulan.”
She has also performed in productions such as “Shrek the Musical,” “The Phantom Tollbooth,” “Oklahoma,” and “The Wizard of Oz.” Anderson notably sang “I Dreamed a Dream” at the 2019 Mississippi Thespian Conference. After taking a seven-year break from the stage, she is excited to return for this performance, according to a news release.
“Almost, Maine” is a romantic comedy by John Cariani directed by Allana Austin. The show runs from Jan. 29 to 31, with performances Thursday through Saturday at 7 p.m., plus a matinee Saturday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for students and children.
