Officers with the Tupelo Police Department responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian accident Wednesday near North Gloster Street and Woody’s. The pedestrian, an adult, sustained serious injuries and was transported to North Mississippi Medical Center for treatment, police said.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances of the crash.
Police urged motorists to avoid the area and exercise caution as they work to clear the scene and conduct their investigation.
