Toyota USA has donated $60,000 to Tupelo Middle College in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Corolla’s production. The vehicle is built at Toyota’s Blue Springs facility, located just north of Tupelo.
The donation aims to expand opportunities for students participating in a partnership between Tupelo High School and Itawamba Community College. Officials say the funds will enable more students to engage in the collaborative program.
Toyota’s contribution underscores its connection to the local community and the importance of education and workforce development in the region, according to the company.
