The Tupelo High School Homecoming Parade is scheduled for Thursday, September 17, from 4 to 4:30 p.m., according to the City of Tupelo.
Roads along the parade route will begin closing at 3:30 p.m., and drivers are urged to allow extra time for travel or work in downtown Tupelo. The parade will travel from the Arena West Parking Lot, along Jefferson Street, Green Street, Main Street, and Commerce Street, ending at Fairpark for a pep rally in front of City Hall.
City officials encourage residents to come downtown and cheer on the Golden Wave. The event aims to fill the area with school spirit and community support.
Local law enforcement and public works departments will assist with traffic management. The parade is part of the city’s celebration of homecoming activities for Tupelo High School.
