The Tupelo High School Homecoming Parade is scheduled for Thursday from 4 to 4:30 p.m., according to the city of Tupelo.
Roads along the parade route will begin closing at 3:30 p.m., and drivers are advised to plan ahead and allow extra time. The parade will travel from the Arena West Parking Lot, along Jefferson Street, Green Street, Main Street, and Commerce Street, ending at Fairpark for a pep rally in front of City Hall.
City officials urged residents and visitors to fill downtown Tupelo with support for the Golden Wave. The event is organized by Tupelo High School, with support from the city’s public works, police, fire departments, and the Tupelo Public School District.
