Tupelo man charged with aggravated domestic violence after ER incident

Tupelo police arrested Tilar T. Thompson, 25, on March 13 on charges of aggravated domestic violence. The arrest followed an investigation that began after officers responded to the emergency room at North Mississippi Medical Center on Feb. 20.

The victim told officers she was assaulted at a residence on Veterans Boulevard, according to police. Further investigation led to Thompson’s arrest nearly a month later.

Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir ordered Thompson held on a $40,000 bond during a hearing on March 15. The charges are scheduled to be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury, police said.
