Tupelo Police Department holds promotion pinning ceremony

The Tupelo Police Department hosted a pinning ceremony to recognize the promotions of two officers.

Sergeant James Hood was promoted to serve as the Edward Shift Patrol Sergeant, while Sergeant Ben Uhiren was promoted to lead the Special Operations Group, according to department officials.

Department leaders congratulated both officers and wished them success in their new roles.
