The Tupelo Police Department issued a statement Tuesday expressing condolences following the death of Jackson County Deputy Michael Jimerson.
Chief John Quaka and the department extended their thoughts and prayers to Jimerson’s family, friends, and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, which Jimerson served.
Jimerson was killed in the line of duty, and authorities confirmed his sacrifice will not be forgotten. The department did not release further details about the incident.
