Tupelo Reads to Feature Author Alan Levi in February

Alan Levi, a best-selling author from Georgia, will visit Tupelo on Feb. 24 as part of this year’s Tupelo Reads program. The event is a collaboration among Reed’s GumTree Bookstore, the city of Tupelo, and the Friends of the Lee County Library.

Levi will conduct book readings at Tupelo High School and the local library, engaging students and community members. The theme for this year’s event is “Be The I In Kind,” which is displayed on banners at all Tupelo Public School District schools.

The Tupelo Reads initiative aims to promote literacy, kindness, and community engagement through events like Levi’s visit. The program encourages students to embrace kindness and reading as essential parts of their development, according to district officials.
