Cast of ‘Lookin” Debuts in Local Production to Support Theatre Festival
Mary Jenkins, known for her long-standing support of local theater, is making her acting debut in the upcoming production of “Lookin’.” Jenkins plays Kitty, a party-goer and stage mom, and credits her daughter, Delilah, for encouraging her to step onto the stage.
Jenkins expressed gratitude to the cast and crew for their dedication and patience, calling the experience magical. The production is an original work by local playwright and Tupelo Community Theatre member Mariah Wooten.
The theatre will host a preview performance on Thursday, Jan. 15, at 7 p.m. at Tupelo Community Theatre. All proceeds from the show will support TCT’s travel to the Mississippi Theatre Association Festival in Oxford, where “Lookin'” will represent the theatre and compete against other productions statewide.
Tickets are $25 and are available through the theatre’s website. The event is part of TCT’s efforts to showcase local talent and support regional theatre initiatives.
