Tupelo Community Theatre presents ‘Lookin’ with cast member John McCustion

John McCustion is set to perform in the upcoming production of ‘Lookin” at Tupelo Community Theatre. McCustion, who plays Bernard, has previously appeared in productions such as ‘You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,’ ‘The Play That Goes Wrong,’ and ‘Laundry & Bourbon,’ which he also assistant directed, according to the theatre.

His acting credentials include roles as Boo Radley in ‘To Kill a Mockingbird,’ George Bailey in ‘It’s a Wonderful Life,’ and Ray Caulder in ‘Lone Star,’ earning him state and regional awards for best supporting actor. McCustion, a graphic designer at Ole Miss, also pursues acting professionally.

The production is a new work by local playwright and Tupelo Community Theatre member Mariah Wooten. A special preview performance is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 15, at 7 p.m. at TCT. All proceeds will support the theatre’s trip to the MTA Theatre Festival in Oxford, where ‘Lookin” will compete against other productions from across the state.
