Two Arrested in Starkville Exploitation Investigation

STARKVILLE, Miss. (Oct. 15, 2025) – Two Starkville residents have been arrested following an investigation into the exploitation of a vulnerable adult who is related to both suspects, according to the Starkville Police Department.

Investigators say the alleged exploitation occurred between August and September of this year.

Thomas Watts, 46, has been charged with two felony counts of exploitation of a vulnerable adult and one felony count of possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance.

Kimberly Watts, 43, faces the same two felony exploitation charges, along with felony counts of possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Police said the investigation uncovered additional offenses, and both suspects were taken to the Oktibbeha County Jail.
