15-year-old charged with aggravated assault in Tupelo shooting case

Authorities in Tupelo have charged a 15-year-old with aggravated assault following a shooting on Fillmore Drive.

On Feb. 13, officers responded to the North Mississippi Medical Center Emergency Room after a victim with a gunshot wound arrived. Officers learned the victim had been shot at a party on Fillmore Drive and were directed to a residence on the street.

After an investigation, Jamarian Donelson of Baldwyn was arrested and charged with one count of aggravated assault on Feb. 26, according to police. Lee County Circuit Court Judge White ordered Donelson held on a $50,000 bond. The case will be presented to the Lee County grand jury, authorities said.
