Auditions Set for ‘Madagascar, Jr.’ Musical in Tupelo

Auditions for the musical “Madagascar, Jr.” are scheduled for October 5th in Tupelo. The event will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Link Centre Reception Hall, with entry through the reception doors on Stephen D. Lee Street.

Organizers say there is no need to prepare anything in advance. The audition will include music, acting, and dance components. Participants should wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and clothes suitable for dancing.

Due to limited space, each child may be accompanied by only one adult. For more information, interested individuals can contact Brittany Hopkins at britt872006@yahoo.com, according to event organizers.

The production features characters from the popular DreamWorks film, including Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the Hippo, and the penguins. The show follows the characters as they escape from New York’s Central Park Zoo and embark on an adventure in King Julien’s Madagascar.
