Broadway Street in Tupelo to Close for Courthouse Cupola Removal

Broadway Street between West Jefferson and Court streets in downtown Tupelo will be closed Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to city officials.

The closure is necessary to allow workers to use a crane to remove the cupola from the old Lee County Courthouse. The cupola will be refurbished offsite, officials said.

Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes during the closure period. No other details about the project were provided.
