Burglary Suspect Arrested, Stolen Firearm Recovered in Tupelo
On July 29, 2025, Tupelo police responded to a report of a vehicle burglary at Papa V’s on East Main Street. The suspect, described as wearing a mask and seen rummaging through a vehicle, was quickly located and taken into custody upon officers’ arrival.
During a search following the arrest, officers discovered a stolen firearm in the suspect’s pocket. The individual was transported to the Lee County Jail.
Following further investigation, 23-year-old Tyler P. Williams of Fulton was formally charged on July 30 with one count of vehicle burglary and one count of possession of a stolen firearm.
Municipal Court Judge Sumner ordered Williams—who was already out on bond for a previous felony—to be held without bond. The case remains active and will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
