Juvenile injured in shooting in Tupelo, police say
Tupelo police are investigating a shooting that injured a juvenile Friday night in the 2100 block of Fillmore Drive, according to authorities.
Officers responded around 10:13 p.m. after the juvenile arrived at North Mississippi Medical Center by private vehicle with a gunshot wound, police said. Initial reports indicate the victim was attending a gathering at a nearby residence when multiple shots were fired outside.
The juvenile was transported to the hospital before law enforcement arrived and remains under medical care. No additional medical details have been released.
Investigators responded to the scene, collected evidence, and continue to look into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No arrests have been made.
