Mississippi Student to Present at National Conference on Child Welfare

Jasmine Jackson, a student at the University of Mississippi Tupelo Campus, has been selected to represent Mississippi at the National Title IV-E Roundtable Conference in Denver, Colorado.

Jackson was chosen for her presentation titled, “Understanding Kratom Use and Its Impact on Child Welfare.” She will receive a $1,000 honorarium to support her travel to the event.

At the conference, Jackson will have the opportunity to present her research to thousands of participants from across the country. She will also join other selected students in a community-building event exclusive to students.

The university expressed pride in Jackson’s achievement and her contribution to the field of child welfare research.
