Tupelo Community Theatre is inviting the public to submit their spooky, scary, or unexplained stories as part of the upcoming production of “The Woman in Black.” During the week of the show, one winner will be randomly selected from all entries to receive a handmade Gothic doll crocheted by director Denise Truscott, according to a news release.
The play runs from October 1 to 3 at TCT Off Broadway, located at 213 E. Franklin St. Tickets are currently on sale through the theater’s website, www.tctlyric.com.
Participants are encouraged to share their stories via a submission form linked in the release. The theater notes that some stories may be better left untold, but they are eager to hear the spooky tales from the community. The promotion is part of the lead-up to the theatrical run, which promises a chilling experience for audiences.
The campaign also uses the hashtag #mytct and #mytupelo to engage with the community on social media.
