Tupelo Celebrates National Parks and Recreation Month with New Playground
Tupelo is celebrating National Parks and Recreation Month this July, spotlighting its newest community attraction, the All-Inclusive Playground at Ballard Park.
The playground opened in December 2025 and was designed to be accessible for children of all abilities. It has quickly become a popular destination for local families and visitors from surrounding areas.
The Tupelo Rotary Club sponsored water stations at the park, helping visitors stay cool and hydrated while enjoying the amenities, according to city officials.
Community members can rent the large pavilion near the playground for events such as birthday parties and family reunions. Reservations can be made by calling the Tupelo Parks and Recreation Office at 662-841-6440 and asking for Sheila.
The city encourages residents to share photos of their visits and participate in ongoing celebrations throughout the month, highlighting the parks, programs, and community spirit that make Tupelo Parks and Recreation Department a valued part of the community.
