Tupelo community mourns longtime supporter Charlie Watson
The Tupelo community is mourning the loss of Charlie Watson, a beloved supporter of the Tupelo Elvis Festival for more than 27 years.
Watson was known for his support of the festival and his creation of the Silver Moon Club, which hosted legendary after-parties that became a highlight of the event. His efforts helped shape the festival into a cherished community gathering, according to organizers.
Since the festival’s inception more than a quarter-century ago, Watson was a loyal supporter and a treasured member of the festival family. His larger-than-life personality and generosity left a lasting impression on many attendees and community members.
