Tupelo man charged in string of burglaries and credit card fraud
Police responded to multiple reports of burglaries in the Highland Circle and North Madison Street area on April 11, according to authorities. Victims reported items stolen from vehicles and an enclosed building at a residence. Credit cards stolen during the incidents were used multiple times, police said.
After an investigation, officers arrested 23-year-old Terrell M. Franklin Jr. of Tupelo on April 11. He faces charges including one count of burglary of a dwelling, two counts of burglary of an automobile, and two counts of credit card fraud, police said.
On April 13, Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Allen ordered Franklin held on a $75,000 bond. The case is scheduled to be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury. A juvenile suspect was also detained in connection with the case, and charges against the minor will be handled in Lee County Youth Court, authorities added.
