Tupelo man charged with attempted murder after shooting at apartment and vehicles

Tupelo police have charged Braylen D. Clark, 20, with attempted murder after a shooting at Monarch Creek Apartments on Ida B. Wells Street on March 5. Officers responded to the scene after reports of a shooting and found a victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency personnel provided aid until medical staff arrived, according to the Tupelo Police Department.

Investigators processed the scene, which included multiple vehicles and an apartment building struck by gunfire. Clark was already in custody on misdemeanor charges when he was formally charged on March 12 with one count of attempted murder, five counts of shooting into a motor vehicle, and one count of shooting into an occupied dwelling. Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir ordered Clark held without bond. The charges are scheduled to be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury, authorities said.
