Tupelo police investigate shooting at local apartments

Authorities responded to a shooting at Monarch Creek Apartments at 1321 Ida B. Wells Street in Tupelo on Saturday night. Officers with the Tupelo Police Department arrived around 9:40 p.m. and found an adult male victim with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to North Mississippi Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, police said. Investigators also found several vehicles at the scene that had been struck by gunfire.
