Tupelo police arrested Dondra M. Hamilton, 28, of Houston, on April 2 on charges of aggravated domestic violence and grand larceny.
The arrest followed an incident on Feb. 9 at a residence on Barnes Street, where officers responded to a report of assault. The victim told officers they had been assaulted by a former partner and that the suspect stole their vehicle.
Paramedics treated the victim at the police department before transporting them to North Mississippi Medical Center for injuries, according to police.
After an investigation, Hamilton was taken into custody and held without bond following a court order by Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Allen. The case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury, police said.
