Tupelo police issue statement after body of teenage female found in vehicle near daycare

Death Investigation

On 05/23/2023 at approximately 3:30 am TPD was conducting a welfare check in the 100 block of Stone Street. A deceased juvenile female was discovered.

Information led to officers detaining a person of interest also in the 100 block of Stone Street at approximately 07:00 am same day.
