Man arrested on felony domestic violence charge in Tupelo
Tupelo police arrested Lamarrion Randle, 22, of Prairie, on Aug. 23 on a felony warrant accusing him of aggravated domestic violence. The arrest stems from an incident on April 17, when officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on the 2900 block of South Green Street.
According to police, the victim told officers that Randle, an ex-boyfriend, entered the residence and assaulted and choked them. Officers observed injuries consistent with the victim’s account and noted that Randle caused property damage inside the residence before fleeing the scene.
Following an investigation, authorities identified Randle as the suspect on May 14 and issued a warrant for his arrest. He was located and taken into custody on August 23. On August 24, Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Jay Weir set Randle’s bond at $35,000. The case is scheduled to be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury, according to police.
