Tupelo man charged with aggravated assault after stabbing at Blue-Sky

Authorities in Tupelo have arrested a man accused of stabbing another person at Blue-Sky on West Main Street. The incident occurred on Sept. 10, according to police reports.

Officers responded to the North Mississippi Medical Center Emergency Room on Sept. 10 after a victim arrived with a stab wound. The victim told officers they had been attacked while standing in line at the Blue-Sky location.

Investigators responded to the scene of the assault and collected evidence. They also developed a suspect description, which helped them locate and arrest Wiltavion L. Finley, 25, of Tupelo, shortly afterward.

On Sept. 11, Finley was charged with one count of aggravated assault. Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir ordered Finley to be held without bond. The case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury, according to authorities.
